Boracay Island is a small island on Malay, Aklan, about 200 miles south Manila and 2km off the northwest tip of Panay. Facing the Sulu Sea to its west and the Sibuyan Sea to its east, Boracay is composed of three main barangays namely Balabag, Manoc-Manoc and Yapak. This little island of about 10.32 square kilometers in land area is far from small in essence. It has grown as one of the giant leisure destinations in the country with its beautiful natural and man-made attractions alike, and is host to some 300 resorts and hotels ranging from pocket friendly to five stars. It's also been tagged as a party island because of its thriving night life. The main attraction of Boracay is its main White Beach, a four kilometer stretch of powdery whitesand beach traversing the island's west coast.
